Spring Home Decor Ideas: Room-by-Room Inspiration

Since bathrooms are typically small and devoid of furniture, it's easy to switch up the decor each season. A few functional pieces and decorative accents are all you need to breathe new life into your bathroom this spring. If you don't already have foliage in your bedroom, the spring season is a good time to get some. To lighten the mood of your space, place a large plant or indoor tree on the floor, a mid-sized shrub on your dresser or a few small potters on a floating shelf. By having your favorite fresh greens on hand, you benefit from both their appearance and natural goodness.

Adding floral pattern ones or ones with pastel prints in with your existing pillows will brighten up your space. There’s no better time to liven up your living room than now during the season of new life. Put away the thick blankets and dark hues of winter and welcome back the warmer weather in style. H & M is my favorite source for beautiful spring pillow covers. They sell linen, cotton, and velvet versions in every hue, and their prices are amazing. Trader Joe’s is my favorite source for flowers and greenery for our home.

It's cool to the touch with a posh matte finish — the perfect spring room choice for those who appreciate modern comfort. When switching up your home design each season, remember you don't have to get all new furniture or change your entire color scheme. If you’re looking for a way to add some spring flair to the outside of your home, update your front door color! It’ll change the appearance of your home in a big way, but won’t be hard to do. If you have an open area that you don’t know what to do with, consider adding a bunch of different plants to it. Choose ones in various sizes and with different shaped pots in the same color family to keep it looking visually interesting.

Here, a plaid blue throw blanket is draped over a cozy white slipcovered lounge chair. A pink floral throw pillow has been tossed on the chair as well. A blue metal vase on the side table holds several stems of light pink peonies. If you're allergic to color but still want to inject your neutral interior with a little spring spirit, there is no shame in opting for a vase of seasonal white flowers.

Velvet Dresses You Can Wear All Winter Long

My post, 21 Beautiful Spring Wreath Ideas You Will Love, shares all sorts of beautiful spring wreath ideas. Adding fresh flowers to your spaces is one of the easiest ways to decorate your home for spring. Using natural elements, such as fresh branches and greenery from outdoors, is one of my favorite tips for decorating for spring on a budget. Below, you’ll find modern decorating ideas incorporating natural elements, interesting textures, and lighter hues in your home for spring, all without a lot of fuss or expense. The perfect addition to any nursery wall for the new baby and using gender neutral colors will work beautifully.

Create pockets between front ribs and tuck in tissue paper to support a crafts-store bird's nest; blown eggs; and fresh flowers such as tulips and daffodils. To keep flowers fresh, enclose stems in water vials, or tuck them into heavy plastic bags filled with floral foam powder, available at floral supply stores. Greet guests with a front-door display of seasonal joys, such as this vintage watering can. This spring, expect black in every texture and finish, from velvet and leather to natural wood and heavy rug weaves. Useful for grounding colors and adding depth to any space, black has proven itself a design staple that is here to stay. Pink has become so ubiquitous in recent years that it's practically a neutral.

Give baby safe things to play with

Amp up built-in shelves with a pastel-colored curtain that's fit to hide everything from mugs to appliances. Woodblock floating shelves are just the thing for all your spring decorations. You might not reach for throw blankets very often in the spring, but they're still useful for decorating. Go with a lightweight fabric like cloud linen for a laid-back appeal.

Let’s share some of the best spring entryway and front porch decor ideas. Turn a child's bedroom into a year-round spring wildflower meadow with wraparound floral wallpaper, like this charming kids room from Emily Henderson Design. A sunny yellow armchair and a maximalist approach to houseplants adds serious springtime vibes to this living room from Casa Watkins Living. Blogger Emma Chapman from A Beautiful Mess brought a year-round spring feel to her home office by installing a low-maintenance, high-impact DIY faux living wall of epic proportions. Made from astroturf and artificial plants, the faux living wall runs from floor to ceiling and gives off irresistible feel-good nature vibes, no green thumb required.

If you're feeling inspired by these tips but aren't sure how to work them into your existing design scheme, a Parachute stylist is ready to assist. When you think of spring colors, light pinks, purples and yellows might come to mind. That said, if you want your bedroom to exude the spirit of the season but you prefer a more neutral palette, go with soft green, taupe and ivory. Put a smile on visitors’ faces by upcycling vintage containers, turning them into vases or even planters. Old watering cans, buckets, and milk pitchers will all work well.
